The process production flow of metal products usually includes design, raw material preparation, molding, processing, surface treatment, quality inspection and many other aspects, which are described below:
Product design
Design planning: according to the market demand, customer requirements and the use of the scene and other factors, to determine the function, shape, size, precision requirements of metal products, etc., and carry out a preliminary design planning, the formation of the product's three-dimensional model or two-dimensional drawings.
Process design: According to the structure and performance requirements of the product, design a reasonable production process, including the selection of suitable molding methods, processing technology, surface treatment, etc., and develop a detailed process flow and process parameters.
Raw material preparation
Material selection: According to the performance and cost requirements of the product, select suitable metal materials, such as steel, aluminum, copper and so on. At the same time, the quality of the materials should be inspected, including the chemical composition, mechanical properties, surface quality, etc., to ensure that the raw materials meet the production requirements.
Material processing: According to the needs of the production process, the raw materials are pre-treated, such as cutting, forging, rolling, etc., to process the raw materials into billets suitable for subsequent processing.
Molding Processing
Casting: The molten metal liquid is poured into the pre-made casting cavity, to be cooled and solidified to obtain a certain shape and performance of the metal products. Casting is suitable for the production of complex shapes, especially metal products with complex internal cavities, such as engine blocks, machine tool beds and so on.
Forging: by applying external force to the metal billet to produce plastic deformation, so as to obtain the required shape and performance of metal products. Forging can improve the internal organization of the metal, improve the strength and toughness of the metal, commonly used in the production of mechanical parts to withstand larger loads, such as crankshafts, connecting rods, etc..
Stamping: The use of presses and molds to apply pressure to the metal sheet, so that it produces separation or plastic deformation, so as to obtain the required shape and size of the metal products. Stamping processing is characterized by high productivity, low cost and high precision, and is widely used in the automotive, electronics and home appliance industries, such as car body coverings and shells for electronic components.
Extrusion: The metal billet is put into the extrusion barrel, and pressure is exerted on the metal billet through the extrusion rod, so that it is extruded out of the die hole of the extrusion die, so as to obtain the metal products of the required shape and size. Extrusion processing is suitable for the production of tubes and profiles of various shapes, such as aluminum alloy door and window profiles, copper tubes, etc.
Mechanical Processing
Cutting Processing: The use of cutting tools to cut metal products to obtain the required size, shape and surface quality. Cutting processing includes turning, milling, drilling, grinding and other processing methods, which can be used to process a variety of precision requirements of the parts, such as shaft parts, gears, boxes and so on.
Welding: by heating or pressurization and other methods, so that two or more metal parts connected together to form a whole metal product. There are various welding methods, such as arc welding, gas welding, laser welding, etc. It is widely used in the manufacture of metal structural parts, such as bridges, ships, and building steel structures.
Surface treatment
Rust removal treatment: chemical or mechanical methods are used to remove rust and oxidized skin on the surface of metal products to improve the adhesion and corrosion resistance of the metal surface. Common rust removal methods include acid washing, sand blasting and shot blasting.
Coating treatment: Coating a layer of protective film, such as paint, plastic coating, metal plating, etc., on the surface of metal products by spraying, electroplating, hot-dip plating, etc., in order to improve the corrosion resistance, abrasion resistance and decorative properties of metal products.
Quality Inspection
Appearance inspection: mainly check the surface quality of metal products, including whether there are cracks, pores, sand holes, scratches, deformation and other defects on the surface, as well as whether the quality of the surface coating or plating meets the requirements.
Dimensional accuracy measurement: Use gauges such as calipers, micrometers, coordinate measuring machines, etc. to measure the key dimensions of the metal products to ensure that the dimensional deviations are within the tolerances required by the design.
Performance test: According to the use requirements of the products, the metal products are subjected to corresponding performance tests, such as mechanical performance test (tensile, impact, hardness, etc.), corrosion resistance test, sealing test, etc., to ensure that the performance of the products meets the standards and customer requirements.
